Desert Veils invites you to our third annual Tribal Sands Belly Dance & Drum Festival, being held in September 2007 in the Old City Park, Moab, Utah. Tribal Sands is a gathering of belly dancers and drummers from all over the US and Canada, in order to celebrate the world of bellydance.

The festival begins on Friday with workshops, desert dancing, and eating!

Saturday will include more workshops, and performances by Kara Nomadica (drumming and singing), Nedra Bashira, Amy Sigil and UNMATA, and TribalTique, as well as performances by many outstanding belly dancers from throughout the US.

The Tribal Sands show will be held in Moab's Old City Park; performances begin on Saturday at 2:00pm. At 7:00pm the renowned Middle Eastern band Kara Nomadica will perform and there will be improv dancing!

On Sunday the 30th we will take our traditional river trip down the Colorado on what is called the "Daily". This is an initiation to the Queens of De Nile Tribe... Shimmie on!
